All parents and carers want the best for their kids. Want to boost their immune systems? Or boost their brain? Look at this list of kids superfoods and try them at home – serve some tasty, nutrient packed foods and snacks.


Eggs are one of the few foods that naturally contain vitamin D, which helps the body absorb calcium. Eggs offer protein within the diet. Try giving your children protein at breakfast as this will help them feel satisfied longer :) no more hungry bellies!


A heart health must-have – research shows that kids who eat oatmeal are better able to concentrate and pay attention in school – BONUS! Fiber-rich whole grains, like oatmeal, digest slowly, providing kids with a steady stream of energy – and keeps them regular too, if you know what I mean?


All fruits are good for kids, providing essential vitamins and minerals. Strawberries contain vitamin C and antioxidants, which help your mind stay sharp. Avacado serves up other nutrients that may help your heart, including fiber and potassium. Blueberries have ranked among the healthiest fruits for years (go, antioxidants!). They also protect against heart disease and diabetes and improving brain function :)

It contains healthy bacteria known to boost immunity and aid digestion.


Cabbage has a crunch that kids tend to like better than the usual salad greens, it also has a top source of bone-strengthening vitamin K in it.


Like all fish, it contains heart-healthy omega-3 fats, which are also known to boost brain development. We all want brainy kids, right?


This herb is packed with antioxidants, Vitamins A, C, and K,  as well as potassium, iron, and calcium and can help improve digestion.
